Sounds great I installed it in a single cab 98 ford ranger box is 1.25 cubes after sub and port displacement
My father wanted back in the audio game. I recommend these due to price point limits. Built an custom enclosure tuned to 34hz also did a bunch of extra stuff fir the build but let's just say the subs surprised me! Nothing crazy, just nice bass for the money. I bought him a Skar Rp 1,200 and sounds great. He wanted to shake and quake a lil more so he upgraded to EVL 12s side he's never had anything like it before! He's officially SKARED!!! for life!
These speakers were a part of a bigger 16th birthday present - we also ordered the Skar 2x12" ported enclosure and the Skar 800.1 mono amplifier. Wow, it is awesome. This setup hits hard on bass songs, but also delivers just the right amount of bass on the softer side of songs. It is really nice. If you are in the market for 250 watts RMS, get one. 250-500 RMS is absolutely perfect for a four door vehicle. If you want 500 RMS, get the set up we did. Get the dual voice coil, 2 ohm and wire them in parallel so that the 800.1 amp "sees" a 2 ohm load. Set the gain so that the amp delivers about 500 watts RMS (its rated for 600 RMS at 2 ohm). You can find how to do all of this online, on Skar's website, on YouTube, etc. Set you gain correctly so you do not harm anything. I used a multitmeter.
