Description

The Skar Audio EVL-15 D2 15" dual 2-ohm subwoofer redefines the conception of low-end sound reproduction. The engineering that went into developing the EVL series is simply amazing, and it shows in the sound quality and performance that this subwoofer demonstrates. The EVL Series can deliver incredibly accurate and powerful bass, due to a variety of advanced design features that make this subwoofer unique and in a class of its own.

Conservatively rated at 2,500 watts peak power, the EVL-15 D2 features a massive high flux, double stack ferrite motor structure - which delivers the driving force behind the tremoring lows this subwoofer can produce. Combine the motor with the black coated 3" high temperature voice coil of this driver, as well as the advanced air flow cooling design of the basket, and it quickly becomes evident why this woofer is capable of being played at the highest levels of output for hours on end.

Furthermore, the high roll foam surround incorporated into the design of this subwoofer is one of the reasons it can produce those ultra-low-end frequencies with such responsiveness. The suspension design of this subwoofer features the EVL's signature red, single damper, two-layer spider - which connects to the coil former with premium stitched lead wires. All these incredible features make this EVL subwoofer the unequivocal choice when looking for a high-quality car subwoofer.

Just Right

Hey Skar Guys. I know you guys like reviews so here’s a start. As I’ve said in other post I decided to go all Skar. Ol Blue will have a total of 3 Evl 15’s and 8 vvx3 8’s. With a mixture of of mids and highs all Skar. Each set of 8’s will have a Skv2 1500. That will be temporary. They will get a RP 3500 each when complete. The 3 EVL 15D2 will be on a wolfram 4500 until I can purchase a Skar 4500. Already had the wolfram. Still working on putting it together. I have included some pics of ol blue. I’m currently adding batteries in the bed and running wires for everything. And redesigning the 8 box. I have decided on a pyramid box for the 8’s. With a new Kenwood front end. Still working on putting it together. I have to say if these EVL perform like the 8’s there’s no doubt it will sound great. Before it gets powered up I will have 1400 ah of batteries and 480 amps of alternator. Should be good for a daily driver. Then I can start the competition system in big red. Again all Skar. If anyone is doubting Skar it’s your loss. They have great equipment at working man prices. You can’t beat that if you work for your money like me. Thanks again to the Skar team. I will update progress as I go on these reviews.

RE is 1.8 ?

I jus bought one of theese MFs . does RE 1.8 ohm mean I can bridge to .9 ohms? If so of course theese bitches are gonna hit harder your gettin more power dropping a 1 ohm amp stability to .9 , which most amps can handle , skar amps? easily . I got a rockville k9 15 in trunk now that ima use for a 400w home theater sub. what a peice of fucking shit compared to skar. Subs are pricy but if there really 1.8 ohm dual voice your getting an extra 75-100 watts most likely out of an amp . I think paying double for this is what I should have done anyway. Or set my damn business acct up now , theres time tho i still experimenting . Rp-1200 btw, ill re review soon3

Amazing

These evl 15s are amazing I’m only running them off of a 2000 and it’s loud enough that my boss has threatened to sent me home if I pull back on to the lot with them turned up again .....
