Resetting Amplifier Protection Circuitry

How to disconnect and reset an amplifier that has gone into protection mode.

If your Skar Audio amplifier enters protection mode, follow these steps to attempt a reset.

Reset Steps

To remove a Skar Audio amplifier from protection mode, you must completely disconnect all connections to the unit:

  • Remote wire
  • RCA cables
  • Speaker wire
  • Ground wire
  • Power wire

The unit will have to sit, completely disconnected, for several hours.

After this waiting period, reconnect the amplifier to attempt to exit protection mode.
