Bought a 12” loaded single sub enclosure with the rp-800.1 and it sounds great. Plenty of power and sounds clean. Don’t think it’s possible to find better equipment for the money.
Hits hard and picks up the low roll the 8 couldn't fully produce. I have it in my Lexus IS and wanted clean low bass that wouldn't destroy the car. It still flexes but very little to no rattles. Running it off s Rockford prime but will purchase the Skar or 800 shortly.
It's very room efficient, and sounds very good but compared to the 15" 1200 watt in box. It's significantly a big difference. If your going for a nice pound that you feel in your chest then definitely get the 15". The 12" gives a great balance with out the over barring bass if that's what your looking for. But also note, that the 15" sub in box is much larger and not as room efficient. It's all about what suits your needs more when it comes to the 2. I choose the 15" and my 12" is being stored for now.
